How likely are you to recommend Sacramento NeuroPsych Associates?
What patients say on Google
“I recently completed TMS at Sacramento NeuroPsych Associates. I cannot recommend this treatment highly enough! After 20+ years, I no longer feel reliant on anti-depressants to treat my depression and anxiety. I'm able to think clearly again and better manage the pressures of life. Not living in fear of what "might" happen next makes EVERYTHING easier. I feel more emotionally present with my family and friends. Before TMS, I didn't realize that I wasn't truly connecting with the people around me. I'm experiencing happiness and excitement again! TMS requires frequent sessions and the time commitment was challenging at times, but the staff always worked with me to reschedule as needed. The TMS team could not have been more positive and caring. Dr. Sekhon and Dr. Ram both worked with me throughout treatment. They helped me to understand how these magnetic pulses were essentially waking up the part of my brain controlling moods. I knew what to expect at each stage of treatment and I could not have felt more supported. These are doctors who care. If you are looking for a practice that is truly patient centered, look no further. You will find it at Sacramento NeuroPsych Associates.”
“I cannot even begin to explain how much of a blessing Dr. Sekhon and his team have been. I’ve been seeing Dr. Sekhon since I was 11 years old for my ADHD. I had tried almost every type of non-stimulant and stimulant medication before Dr. Sekhon helped me find the right fit! If you are looking for a psychiatric team in the Sacramento area, I could not recommend anyone better than the Sacramento NeuroPsych Associates, they are truly the best!”
“This is a monumental moment for me. My first ever 1 star review on Google. But I need to write this out so no one else deals with the same thing. I was recommended to this practice by my wife’s coworker (at this point I have no idea why) to start the process of adjusting medication (which I’m already taking). I am a well adjusted, successful, happily married, hard working, home owning, generally full of life person, but I have always struggled with ADHD. I have been off and on meds throughout the years, but had mentioned to my wife that maybe I could use an adjustment on my current prescription. So as recommended, I filled out the intake form for this practice. Per usual, there is a section of the questionnaire asking about drug use. So, as always recommended, I was honest. Like a lot of people on this earth, I smoke the occasional weed. And I mean OCCASIONAL. I’m a full functioning, regular guy. Maybe a little cheeky edible at home once in a while? Little puff from a weed pen while watching a movie after work? Not even close to an issue. The fact that I’m even typing this out now feels weird. So after filling out the paperwork, a few days later I get a call from a woman at this office. I answer, and she says “we received your form, is this an ok time to talk?”. I was traveling for work, but I had a couple minutes to step away so I told her no problem. So the first thing she says is “so you’re reaching out about your drug use, so I just wanted to ask you a few more questions”. I kind of laughed and said “no I don’t think so, just looking for a psychiatrist”. She continued (mind you, over the phone, with basically zero other questions) “well, it says here that you’re a drug user, and you need help with it. Before we can work with you, you need a drug test”. Truly, at this point, I thought it was a prank or something. I said “no really, I don’t know how to tell you this, but it’s not a problem. That’s not why I’m seeking your services”. She continues on; “well with your history of drug use, we’re requesting a drug test to be done”. It was all so odd, so I told her I felt weirdly uncomfortable and that I wasn’t exactly sure why she was telling me all this and actually at this point what this was even all about. She says “well I’m trying to explain it to you”. Yeah, no. Not how we’re doing this. I was so taken aback with this whole phone call, that I told her I would absolutely not be working with them and to take me off their list. I was so weirded out by the whole situation that I actually called back to talk to someone else. Another woman answered and I said “hey I don’t know who I was just talking to, but whoever I just spoke to is awful. That’s not how this should work. If you record phone calls, I encourage you to go listen to that one”. She said “I cannot confirm if we do or do not”. Ma’am.. California is a two consent state. You HAVE to tell someone you’re recording. But whatever, that’s not the point. I was seriously shaken up about this whole situation for a while. Enough for me to write all of this out. What an absolutely awful phone call. I’m just a guy seeking psychiatric help. Make an appointment with me, ask me questions, then we can talk meds later. What if you determine I don’t need them? What if you realize I just need to eat more bananas or something? I never requested any sort of medication AT ALL. Literally I’m just a regular guy that lives in the Sacramento area and was somehow recommended to this office. One of the strangest experiences I’ve ever had. I was just looking for a psychologist! Sheesh!”
“I have worked with Dr. Aggarwal for many years now and he has always provided me compassion and empathy when it comes to my care. He always maintains a professional attitude, is very friendly and I always feel heard during my appointments with him. I would HIGHLY recommend Sacramento NeuroPsych Associates to anyone seeking high quality care. Thank you to Dr. Aggarwal and the Sacramento NeuroPsych Associates team for being outstanding providers and working so hard!”
