“Attached are the receipts for my experience with MindCare Services. It was an awful experience with the front desk staff, specifically Joshua and Tamara. My insurance was billed for the wrong codes for diagnoses I don't have. 5 minute medication refill visits over billed for more expensive codes that paid more. When our insurance was terminated due to layoff, we switched to cash pay. Despite being told the cash pay is $150, they billed me $200. When confronted over the discrepancy, I was told in an irritated manner by Tamara "that's our policy to charge cash payments more." As you can see from my attached explanation of benefits, their "full cash rate" is $150 and their contracted rate with insurance is $113. How are they charging cash patients nearly double what they accept from insurance and $50 more than their listed rate? I emailed their office manager and billing person all the documentation and was ghosted. I would be very careful if you use Mind Care to check the codes your clinician notated and cross check to what they bill. This is straight up fraud.”

“I absolutely love Dr. Sandoval and have been with her for years. She's caring, she knows me well and because of her, I got my life back. I am being treated for depression and anxiety. I can tell you that she cares and listens. She never forces unwanted treatments on me and will let me speak when it comes to finding the right medication for me. I also love that her office is clean, she takes Medi Cal and offers telepsychiatry appointments if they are needed. Her only request is that I drive over there once a year to be seen in person. That's fair and it is fine. I have 0 problems recommending her. She doesn't act like a know it all either (and she does know it all). Wait times are short when going to see her, the staff is nice and I have never ever had an issue scheduling an appointment. I also hear that she has FDA approved Spravato for those with treatment resistant depression. Give her a call and try her out, she's definitely not like other psychiatrists that don't truly care. Hands down, I will continue to see her.”

They referred me to psychological testing and I got the answers I’ve been looking for for years and Sabrina Sandoval is truly the only psychiatrist I have ever had a positive experience with in my entire life.
