“I have seen at least five different psychiatrists over the past 25 years, and Dr. Berkawitz is by far the most cohesive, thoughtful, and helpful physician I have worked with. One of the things I appreciate most is that he does not make quick assumptions or hand out diagnoses casually. He takes the time to gather information, listen carefully, and develop a treatment plan that feels individualized rather than formulaic. I have always felt that he pays close attention to my medication needs and works collaboratively with me rather than simply telling me what to do. Before recommending a medication plan, he had me complete testing that none of my previous psychiatrists had ever required. While I can see how that additional step might feel like a hurdle for some patients, I personally viewed it as a major benefit. It demonstrated that he was taking the process seriously and wanted to make informed decisions rather than operating as a “pill mill.” What has stood out most throughout my treatment is how receptive he has been to my feedback. He has helped me fine-tune my medication schedule over time without making me feel judged or as though I was being viewed with suspicion for requesting adjustments. Instead, the process has felt collaborative, professional, and focused on finding what genuinely works. After many years of working with different providers, I can honestly say that Dr. Berkawitz has been one of the most effective and trustworthy psychiatrists I have encountered. “I am shock. They took my need for a domestic violence therapist appointment into ten days. When I still didn't hear from anybody, I call back myself only to find out they have zero therapist available, only psychiatrist. I don't want medication. I need to talk to somebody about my domestic violence that i've been going through. Shame on you for adding more misery to what i'm already going through.”

“My last appointment I felt hurried and rushed out. I don’t even think the call lasted 15/20 minutes, yet my provider and I were billed for a full session, And that included time to be told that she’d be on vacation and could not see me at my regular interval. It would be a month and a week later. I was later called and Told that she could not do that appointment and I needed to reschedule. I was given limited selections. I then had to cancel that appointment because of a last minute Job interview. I called canceled the appointment via the Automated service I asked them to Contact me to reschedule. I have yet to hear from them other than a bill for the appointment that never took place do you consider that professional and good service I don’t.”
