How likely are you to recommend Mindpath Health Psychiatrists & Therapists - Redondo Beach?
“Horrible experience with this MindPath location that I'll be escalating a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I met with a clinician who, in session 1, informed me she would not be able to support me and suggested a specialist. Understood. I had a follow-up appointment scheduled that I did not recall until the reminder text message. I promptly canceled the appointment and received a bill of $100 soon after. Confused as to why, I reached out to the billing department RE the bill and had to escalate to the manager of the practice. The norm for cancellation fees is to inform with more than 24 hours' notice, which I did. Their policy is 48 hours, which they did not verbally inform me of. I work in mental health; this is a basic courtesy to clients to inform, especially given the $100 fee. The manager informed me it was something mentioned during intake, so I requested proof as they record calls. They never provided the proof. I've since met with another clinician who found it shocking that the Dr declined to evaluate - her literal job. She was quite dismissive, even by my standards, when I come from a very understanding perspective. I suggest an alternative location or avoiding MindPath entirely. Access to services is difficult as it is; companies like this further complicate experiences.”
“Dr reddy is extremely rude, will interrupt while you’re speaking, acts like hes shrugging off whatever you’re saying, and will not make you feel heard or like hes taking you seriously. One time, he tried to prescribe me a medication that you cannot mix with the anti depressant i was on and the pharmacist did not approve to give it to me because it can cause death. When i tried calling the office multiple times, he didnt address it right away and did’t even apologize for the situation. Another psychiatrist that i saw wrote a note to him to evaluate me for bipolar disorder, and he shrugged it off and blamed it on me having adhd. When i ask for any side effects of medication he tells me “well people experience different things so we’ll see” . He will make you feel stupid anytime you open your mouth and will downplay any of your mental health issues. Go to literally any other psychiatrist in this office because dr reddy will not help you.”
“Be very careful trusting this doctor Narendra Reddy to have your best interest in mind. I was already diagnosed with dysthemia, a mild depression. My regular doctor retired so I needed to find a new one for medication management. We spoke twice and had a normal, kind conversation. I was billed $1,200 and he put in my records that I have major depressive disorder single episode and in remission, which isn't true. Be careful, they're charging your insurance the most they can get.”
“I've only had one appointment so far and my first appointment with my psychiatrist went really good. He was understanding of my past and what I'm dealing with currently and put me on the correct treatment plan. I can only pray things don't change over time with my psychiatrist as I am doing really well and would like to continue staying well. But the first visits gets 5 stars. My psychiatrist definitely seemed genuine and sincere and his practice and everything we discussed. He seems like a great guy and very professional. He knows how to relate to people it seems like and he shows empathy which is huge for me. I've never had a psychiatrist in the past show any empathy. I highly suggest giving Mind Path a try if you're in need of help. I was desperate and losing hope in finding a good psychiatrist but Dr. Hakami definitely helped me out during a hard time in my life and I'm very grateful for him.”
